| The
R&R was built in 1883
and has been a hotel since 1900. Its close proximity
to the tracks made it very instrumental in the railroad
history. In 1936 it housed the turnpike workers
and was their main headquarters while the turnpike
was being built. Also that year, it sustained $5,000
in damage when a streetcar hit the side of the building.

Haunted
R&R Station, the movie
The recent World Premiere of Haunted R&R Station -
a docudrama directed by Roger Marsh - was shown to packed
audiences here. The DVD is now available for sale at the R&R.

Haunted
R&R Station was shot here at the R&R Station last
June, with more than 50 people from Mt. Pleasant and the surrounding
communities appearing as ghosts, interviews, or extras.

Mars
Attacks Mt. Pleasant
Tremont Avenue Productions, Chicago, has completed shooting
the feature-length DV project, Mars Attacks Mt. Pleasant
- a comedy spoof on the media featuring characters who live
on or near Main Street in Mt. Pleasant.
Director
Roger Marsh said the project, Main Street 15666,
will include a series of feature -length films and shorter,
30-minute pieces, all using a cast of recurring characters.
